About the Foundational Training for CHWs in Oklahoma

The CHW core competency training in Oklahoma was developed in collaboration among several organizations, including Oklahoma State University (Tulsa), Langston University, and Oklahoma University Health Sciences, and with CHW consultation. The reference to the training is as follows: 

Oliver-Marick M, Reinschmidt KM, Redondo F. Foundational Training for CHWs in Oklahoma. Oklahoma Public Health Training Center, Oklahoma State University, Arizona Community Health Workers Association (AzCHOW), 2020 – 2022.

Currently, over 80 people have accessed the training, leaving favorable reviews. Each of the core training modules comes with pre- and post-tests, so that learning can be accessed. A Certificate of Completion is provided to those who complete all modules in order of presentation. Modules will take between 1 and 3 hours to complete.
