The Region 6 South Central Public Health Training Center offers free of charge, web-based courses through the Tulane Learning Management System (LMS). Course categories include: behavioral health, communication, environmental health, epidemiology, general public health, leadership and management, maternal and child health, public health preparedness and response, transgender health, tribal health, and more. Trainings for Community Health Workers in Oklahoma

This series of trainings is being developed for Community Health Workers, Community Health Representatives, and Promotores de Salud in Oklahoma. Training topics align with the CHW core roles and competencies as described in the Community Health Worker Core Consensus (C3) Project (C3 Project). The trainings are at no cost to participants. Classes are grant funded by the County Health Rankings & Roadmaps program of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, in partnership with the Oklahoma City County Health Department and the Tulsa Health Department. Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals

 

Public Health Foundational Competencies are a set of skills that public health professionals employ to more effectively promote health in their communities. The current listing of Foundational Competencies are detailed in the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH) Core Competency models.

The Council on Linkages Between Academia and Public Health Practice designs these skills to best understand and assess public health workforce needs.

 

OK2SHARE Tutorial

OK2SHARE  is a web-based data query system that allows users to access public health datasets for the state of Oklahoma. The data used here are only intended to support evidence-based decision making for improving, evaluating, informing, and implementing public health in the state.
